How Our Herdshare Works
A herdshare is a simple, legal way for you to enjoy fresh, farm-produced raw milk, butter, and cream straight from our herd. Since selling raw dairy products directly to consumers is restricted in Virginia, a herdshare allows you to own a share of the herd and receive dairy products as part of that ownership.
Step-by-Step: How It Works
Purchase a Share:
You buy a share of our herd, making you a part-owner. This is a one-time investment that gives you legal access to raw milk, butter, and cream produced by the herd.Pay a Monthly Boarding Fee:
As a herd owner, you’re responsible for the care of the animals. We handle all the daily work—feeding, milking, and maintaining the herd—while you pay a small boarding fee each month to cover these costs.Receive Your Raw Dairy Products At Our Drop Site:
In return for your share ownership and boarding fee, you’ll receive fresh raw milk, butter, and cream regularly. It’s not a sale of the dairy products—it’s simply your rightful share of what your herd produces.

Is a Herdshare Legal?
Yes! Herdshares are fully legal in Virginia. You’re not buying raw milk—you’re investing in a portion of the herd and paying for its care. This arrangement complies with state laws while giving you access to high-quality raw dairy.

Notice: Orders must be placed by Tuesday at 12:00 PM (noon) for same-week pickup on Thursday, all orders placed past will not be available for pick up until the following Thursday, no exceptions.

Thank you for your interest in our Herdshare Program! At this time, we have limited availability for weekly miscellaneous milk orders and can accommodate up to 10 additional orders per week.
By joining the waiting list, you'll be notified as soon as a spot opens up for you to receive fresh, raw dairy products from our herd. Shares are granted on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to sign up to secure your place!
How It Works:

✅ We’ll notify you when space becomes available for your weekly order.
✅ Once confirmed, you’ll receive details on how to proceed with ordering.

✅ Pickup Day & Time: Thursdays from 2–6 PM.
Order Cutoff Time:
📅 Orders must be placed by Tuesday at 12:00 PM (noon) for same-week pickup.
⏳ Orders placed after the cutoff will be available for pickup the following Thursday.
